Clinical Cases 1: Anaemia and myelodysplastic syndrome
This video is divided into 3 parts.
In Part 1 Laura Reynolds takes you through a framework for approaching anaemia and its causes, in the context of a clinical case. She describes different parameters that can be measured in order to find the cause and optimise a patient’s anaemia.
In Part 2 she also goes through the guideline for diagnosing and managing myelodysplastic syndrome.
In Part 3 she discusses some social factors and logistical barriers that played a role in this case.
She aims to keep the learning aims clinically relevant, so that you can feel more confident when dealing with anaemia in your everyday clinical practice.
